Tell us some good stories and capture our interest. Don’t talk to us as if you’ve forgotten how to speak. Don’t make us feel small. Remind us to be larger. Get a little of that human touch.
Christopher Locke in The Cluetrain Manifesto - I’m re-reading this classic book and came across this line. The book is almost 10 years old and this still rings true when thinking about how companies communicate with their markets. It really helps remind me to continue to help my own companies be more open and honest.
