Prism for Firefox makes life better
I downloaded and installed the Prism extension for Firefox last night. This extension allows me to set a certian web page, like google calendar or gmail, to have a look and feel of it’s own application.
Now my google calendar has it’s own little icon in the doc, has it’s own little window with no forward/back buttons, no address bar around it to be distracting and take up space. The app can stay open all day and just be a great calendar. And best of all, no syncing to and from iCal, it’s just not needed.
One thing I had to do was set a new icon for the application…the default one didn’t look all that great and when it tried to use the fav.ico file, it just didn’t scale up nicely on the doc.
