Site performance

A couple of guys from Yahoo have a new book coming out that I need to pick up. The book is a deep dive into web site performance topics ranging from how to optimize your html, CSS, JavaScript and images to the use of compression and CDNs.

They have a site setup to accompany the book where they plan on releasing small tools and utilities to aid in tuning and enhancing the performance of your websites. They’ve already released a pretty sweet CSS Sprite generator and the popular YSlow add-on for FireBug.
